Responsibilities
- Manage pension fund administration including eligibility verification, benefit calculations, and retirement processing
- Ensure compliance with Texas state laws, ERISA regulations, and IRS requirements
- Develop and implement pension plan policies and procedures
- Conduct financial modeling and analysis for retirement fund sustainability
- Collaborate with HR departments to resolve employee benefit inquiries
- Prepare comprehensive reports for stakeholders and regulatory bodies
- Oversee pension investment portfolio performance monitoring
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of pension plan administration or benefits management experience
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k)/403(b) regulations, and Texas pension laws
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Millennium, Empower)
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) preferred
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to financial detail
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for complex benefit explanations
