Responsibilities
- Manage and administer defined benefit pension plans for government employees
- Process weekly payroll contributions and ensure accurate member account balances
- Coordinate with auditors and regulatory bodies for compliance with ERISA and state regulations
- Provide member education through workshops and one-on-one retirement counseling
- Develop and implement pension investment strategies aligned with fiduciary responsibilities
- Utilize specialized pension administration software for data management and reporting
- Collaborate with HR departments on employee enrollment and benefit changes
- Prepare annual financial statements and member benefit statements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of pension plan administration or retirement benefits experience
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS regulations, and Oklahoma pension statutes
- Proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Millennium, Benefit Systems)
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or Qualified 401(k) Professional (QKA) preferred
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for member interactions and presentations
- Ability to manage confidential financial data with discretion and integrity
