Responsibilities
- Manage and administer defined benefit pension plans for state employees
- Process retirement applications, benefit calculations, and member inquiries
- Ensure compliance with federal ERISA regulations and Tennessee state statutes
- Collaborate with investment teams to monitor fund performance and actuarial projections
- Generate comprehensive reports for stakeholders and regulatory bodies
- Develop educational materials for plan participants regarding retirement options
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, or related field
- 3+ years of pension administration or retirement planning experience
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k) regulations, and pension accounting standards
- Proficiency in pension administration software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Valid Tennessee state government security clearance
