Responsibilities
- Manage daily pension plan administration including contributions, distributions, and member records
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS regulations, and Massachusetts state pension laws
- Develop and implement retirement benefit policies and procedures
- Conduct financial modeling and actuarial reporting for pension fund sustainability
- Provide exceptional member services and retirement counseling to employees
- Collaborate with auditors and external investment advisors
- Prepare comprehensive annual reports for the Pension Board
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of pension plan administration experience
- SPBC, CEBS, or CFA certification preferred
- Expertise in ERISA compliance and pension regulations
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Oracle, Workday)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement
