Responsibilities
- Administer pension fund operations including contributions, distributions, and record-keeping
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS regulations, and state pension laws
- Respond to complex employee inquiries regarding retirement planning and benefits
- Analyze financial data and prepare quarterly/annual reports for stakeholders
- Collaborate with investment teams on fund performance and risk management
- Implement policy updates and process improvements for pension administration
- Train staff on pension procedures and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension administration or benefits management experience
- Proficiency with pension management software (e.g., Oracle HCM, Workday)
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k)/403(b) regulations, and state pension codes
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or Society of Actuaries (SOA) designation preferred
- Advanced analytical skills with experience in financial reporting and data analysis
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and policy explanation
