Responsibilities
- Manage and administer pension plans for government employees including contribution calculations, benefit distributions, and retirement eligibility determinations
- Ensure compliance with Ohio Revised Code, ERISA regulations, and internal fiduciary standards
- Process retirement applications, disability claims, and survivor benefits with 99% accuracy
- Conduct financial modeling and actuarial analysis for plan sustainability
- Provide expert consultation to public employers and members regarding pension policies and procedures
- Collaborate with investment teams to align retirement strategies with market conditions
- Generate comprehensive reports for trustees and regulatory bodies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of pension administration or government benefits experience
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS regulations, and Ohio pension laws
- Advanced proficiency in pension software systems (e.g., PeopleAdmin, Oracle HCM)
- Series 65 or 7 securities license preferred
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to financial details
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
