Responsibilities
- Manage retirement plan compliance, reporting, and fiduciary responsibilities
- Process pension distributions, rollovers, and QDROs with 99% accuracy
- Conduct annual valuations and actuarial support for $2.3B fund
- Develop educational materials for participants on retirement planning
- Collaborate with auditors, attorneys, and investment committees
- Implement pension plan amendments per legislative updates
- Supervise 2-3 junior administrators and support staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Public Administration
- 5+ years pension administration experience in government sector
- ASP or QPA certification strongly preferred
- Advanced proficiency in pension software (e.g., Millennium, ProAdmin)
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k)/403(b) regulations
- Experience with multi-employer pension plans
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to obtain Massachusetts Public Trustee clearance
