Job Summary:
The Pension Plan Administrator will be responsible for the accurate calculation and processing of pension plans, retirement benefits, and survivor annuities. You will serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries regarding state retirement systems.
Responsibilities
- Calculate and process pension benefit requests, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Review and analyze employee records to determine eligibility for retirement benefits.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to retirees and active employees regarding pension inquiries.
- Collaborate with the Human Resources team to ensure data integrity within the retirement database.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation and reports related to pension plans.
- Assist in the development and delivery of retirement planning workshops and informational sessions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pension administration, benefits administration, or public sector finance.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal retirement laws and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
