Responsibilities
- Administer defined benefit pension plans in compliance with federal and state regulations
- Process retiree applications, benefit calculations, and pension disbursements
- Conduct complex actuarial valuations and financial reporting for pension funds
- Develop and maintain pension policy documentation and procedural guides
- Collaborate with auditors, legal counsel, and investment committees
- Manage participant inquiries and provide pension counseling services
- Monitor legislative changes and implement policy adjustments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension administration or benefits management experience
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS regulations, and state pension laws
- Proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Millennium, Albridge)
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and regulatory documents
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder interactions
- Government/public sector experience preferred
