Responsibilities
- Manage daily pension fund operations including contributions, distributions, and record-keeping
- Ensure compliance with state/federal pension regulations and reporting requirements
- Analyze financial data and prepare actuarial reports for stakeholders
- Provide retirement counseling to employees and retirees regarding benefit options
- Collaborate with state agencies to optimize pension plan performance
- Monitor investment portfolios and recommend strategic adjustments
- Develop educational materials for participants on retirement planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension administration or benefits management experience
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS regulations, and California pension laws
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and pension management software
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder presentations
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or QKA designation preferred
- Ability to obtain California Public Employee background clearance
