Responsibilities

- <li>Analyze and interpret complex pension plan data to ensure accurate benefit calculations for retirees and active members.</li>
- <li>Conduct thorough compliance audits of pension records in accordance with state and federal regulations (ERISA, FICA).</li>
- <li>Serve as the primary point of contact for member inquiries regarding eligibility, vesting, and retirement options.</li>
- <li>Prepare detailed reports and actuarial summaries for the Board of Trustees and executive leadership.</li>
- <li>Collaborate with the Information Technology department to maintain and update pension management software systems.</li>
- <li>Develop and deliver training materials on pension changes and legislative updates to agency partners.</li>

Qualifications
- <ul>
- <li>Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.</li>
- <li>Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in government finance, public sector pension administration, or benefits management.</li>
- <li>Strong working knowledge of Tennessee state government codes and federal retirement laws is highly desirable.</li>
- <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and data visualization tools.</li>
- <li>Excellent analytical problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.</li>
- <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.</li>
