Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans including CSRS, FERS, and Thrift Savings Plans
- Ensure compliance with OPM regulations, ERISA, and IRS guidelines
- Process retirement applications and benefit calculations with 100% accuracy
- Conduct complex pension plan audits and financial reconciliations
- Develop educational materials for federal employees on retirement planning
- Collaborate with OPM and Treasury on pension policy implementation
- Respond to congressional inquiries and benefit appeals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration experience
- Federal benefits certification (e.g., CBP or SHRM-SCP)
- Expert knowledge of federal retirement systems (CSRS/FERS)
- Advanced proficiency in pension management software (e.g., Oracle HCM)
- Ability to interpret complex legal and regulatory frameworks
- Top Secret security clearance eligibility
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
