Responsibilities
- Process retirement applications and pension disbursements with 100% accuracy
- Interpret federal pension regulations (ERISA, TSP) to resolve complex beneficiary inquiries
- Collaborate with HR departments to update pension records and contribution histories
- Conduct eligibility assessments for survivor benefits and early retirement options
- Generate comprehensive pension statements and annual benefit reports
- Train beneficiaries on pension plan features and claiming procedures
- Comply with OMB and GSA audit requirements for pension documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, or Public Administration
- 2+ years experience in pension administration or benefits management
- Proficiency in federal retirement systems (FERS, CSRS) and TSP calculations
- Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and financial modeling
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex pension regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication for stakeholder interactions
- Ability to manage confidential data with HIPAA/GSA compliance standards
- Professional certification (CEBS, QPA) preferred
