Responsibilities
- Manage pension fund administration including contributions, distributions, and member records
- Ensure strict compliance with ERISA, IRS regulations, and Illinois state pension laws
- Analyze fund performance data to optimize investment strategies and risk management
- Develop and maintain comprehensive retirement plan documentation and communications
- Collaborate with auditors, legal counsel, and investment committees on regulatory reporting
- Lead member education workshops and provide personalized retirement planning guidance
- Implement system upgrades to enhance data security and operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, or related field
- 5+ years of pension plan administration or retirement benefits experience
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k)/403(b) regulations, and Illinois pension statutes
- Proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Albridge, Millennium, or similar)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling and risk assessment
- Excellent communication abilities for presenting complex information to diverse audiences
- Professional designation (e.g., CEBS, QKA, or CFA) preferred
