Responsibilities
- Process pension contributions, distributions, and member record updates with precision
- Assist in annual valuation calculations and compliance reporting for ERISA and CalPERS regulations
- Respond to member inquiries regarding retirement benefits and plan provisions
- Collaborate with auditors and external consultants during examinations
- Support data migration and system upgrades for pension administration software
- Prepare draft reports for actuarial valuations and investment performance reviews
- Participate in process improvement initiatives for pension operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 0-2 years of experience in pension administration or benefits administration
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial database systems
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity
- Knowledge of ERISA or CalPERS regulations preferred
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required for government position
