Responsibilities
- Administer and optimize federal pension plans in compliance with ERISA, IRS regulations, and federal statutes
- Conduct comprehensive benefit calculations and retirement projections for federal employees
- Develop and implement strategic investment strategies for multi-billion dollar pension portfolios
- Coordinate with legal and audit teams to ensure regulatory compliance and risk mitigation
- Design and deliver educational workshops on retirement planning and pension options
- Analyze pension fund performance and recommend adjustments based on economic trends
- Collaborate with HR departments to integrate pension benefits into employee lifecycle management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Public Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in pension administration, benefits management, or retirement planning
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, CFA, or QKA) strongly preferred
- Expert knowledge of federal retirement systems (FERS, CSRS) and ERISA compliance
- Advanced proficiency in pension software (e.g., Milliman, Mercer, or similar platforms)
