Responsibilities
- Manage and administer federal pension plans ensuring compliance with ERISA and OPM regulations
- Conduct comprehensive retirement benefit calculations and projections for federal employees
- Develop and implement pension plan policies aligned with federal guidelines
- Provide expert guidance to employees on retirement planning, survivor benefits, and pension options
- Collaborate with finance and HR teams to ensure accurate benefit disbursements
- Conduct regular audits of pension plan data and documentation
- Prepare detailed reports on pension fund performance and regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of pension plan administration or federal benefits experience
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, QPA, or federal retirement specialist)
- Expert knowledge of federal retirement systems (FERS, CSRS) and ERISA regulations
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software and data analysis tools
- Strong analytical skills with attention to complex financial calculations
- Ability to obtain and maintain federal background clearance
- Exceptional communication skills for explaining complex benefits to diverse audiences
