Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans ensuring compliance with ERISA and OPM regulations
- Process retirement claims, benefit calculations, and adjustments with 99% accuracy
- Conduct audits of pension portfolios and implement corrective actions
- Develop educational materials on retirement planning and pension options
- Collaborate with HR departments on employee retirement readiness programs
- Utilize specialized software (e.g., eOPF, FIS) for data management
- Respond to congressional inquiries and stakeholder communications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration experience
- Deep knowledge of federal retirement systems (FERS, CSRS)
- Proficiency in pension calculation software and Excel
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) designation preferred
