Responsibilities
- Analyze and administer federal pension plans under ERISA and CSRS/FERS regulations
- Process retirement applications, benefit calculations, and survivor claims
- Conduct audits of pension plan documents and employer contributions
- Provide technical guidance to federal agencies on pension compliance
- Develop educational materials for retirement planning seminars
- Collaborate with OPM and Treasury on pension policy implementation
- Manage complex case files involving disputed benefit determinations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years' experience in pension administration or benefits management
- ERISA and federal retirement system (CSRS/FERS) certification required
- Proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Oracle HCM, PeopleSoft)
- Strong analytical skills for benefit calculation and compliance auditing
- Clearances: Must obtain Public Trust and potentially Secret clearance
- Federal experience highly preferred
