Responsibilities
- Administer pension plans including benefit calculations, eligibility verification, and retirement processing
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, NY State Retirement Law, and IRS regulations
- Conduct financial analysis and forecasting for pension fund assets and liabilities
- Develop and implement strategic plan improvements to enhance retirement security
- Collaborate with HR departments and external auditors on pension-related matters
- Prepare comprehensive reports for stakeholders and regulatory agencies
- Manage participant communications and educational initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in pension plan administration or benefits management
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or Society of Actuaries (SOA) designation preferred
- Proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Oracle HCM, FIS Global)
- Deep understanding of ERISA, IRS 401(k) regulations, and NY State pension laws
- Advanced analytical skills with financial modeling capabilities
- Exceptional communication skills for stakeholder engagement
- Ability to manage sensitive confidential information with integrity
