Responsibilities
- Manage pension fund administration including enrollment, distributions, and compliance with ERISA/Texas statutes
- Process retirement applications and benefit calculations with 100% accuracy
- Conduct quarterly audits and generate compliance reports for state/federal agencies
- Serve as primary liaison between employees and pension board during weekend operations
- Implement policy updates and procedural improvements for weekend shift operations
- Maintain secure digital records per HIPAA/GDPR standards
- Collaborate with legal team on pension litigation and regulatory changes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration experience in government sector
- Proficiency in pension management software (e.g., Millennium, Benefitfocus)
- FINRA Series 65/66 certification or equivalent state license
- Advanced knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k) regulations, and Texas pension laws
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to financial detail
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Strong written/verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
