Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans and retirement benefits in accordance with ERISA and OPM guidelines
- Conduct comprehensive audits of pension documentation and financial records
- Advise federal employees on retirement planning, benefits options, and eligibility requirements
- Develop and implement compliance strategies for pension plan operations
- Collaborate with legal and financial teams to resolve complex pension disputes
- Prepare detailed reports for regulatory agencies and senior leadership
- Train HR staff on pension plan administration and compliance updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in pension plan administration or employee benefits
- Proficiency with federal retirement systems (e.g., FERS, CSRS)
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or similar designation preferred
- Expert knowledge of ERISA, IRS regulations, and OPM guidelines
- Advanced analytical skills with attention to financial detail
- Strong communication abilities for stakeholder engagement and training
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
