Responsibilities
- Administer complex federal pension plans including TSP, FERS, and CSRS with strict regulatory compliance
- Analyze pension fund performance, risk exposure, and actuarial projections using advanced modeling tools
- Develop strategic retirement benefit optimization plans for federal agencies across California and Texas regions
- Conduct comprehensive audits of pension plan operations and recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate with OPM, IRS, and DOL on policy implementations and regulatory updates
- Lead cross-functional teams for pension system modernization and digital transformation initiatives
- Prepare executive reports on pension fund health and long-term sustainability projections
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Public Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience with federal pension systems (FERS/CSRS/TSP) or multi-employer retirement plans
- Active federal security clearance or ability to obtain one within 30 days
- Expertise in ERISA, IRS 401(k) regulations, and OPM pension guidelines
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., UltiPro, ADP, or similar)
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or Society of Actuaries (SOA) designation preferred
- Demonstrated experience with data analytics tools (SQL, Python, Tableau) for pension forecasting
- Ability to manage high-volume pension cases with exceptional attention to detail
