Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate veteran pension claims with meticulous attention to accuracy and compliance
- Interpret federal pension regulations (38 CFR Part 3) and apply them to complex benefit scenarios
- Communicate with veterans, families, and stakeholders regarding pension eligibility and documentation
- Maintain detailed case records and documentation in federal compliance systems
- Analyze financial and medical data to determine pension qualification criteria
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and expedite claims processing
- Participate in continuous training to stay current on pension policy updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in financial data review
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity
- Basic understanding of federal benefits systems (e.g., VBMS) preferred
