Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans (TSP, FERS, CSRS) ensuring strict ERISA and OPM compliance
- Conduct benefit eligibility reviews and retirement calculations for federal employees
- Develop strategic retirement planning materials and conduct employee workshops
- Collaborate with HR/finance teams on pension fund investments and reporting
- Manage pension claims processing and resolve complex benefit disputes
- Analyze pension plan performance and recommend optimization strategies
- Stay current on federal retirement legislation and regulatory changes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Human Resources, or related field
- 5+ years of pension plan administration or federal benefits experience
- Expert knowledge of ERISA, OPM guidelines, and federal retirement systems
- Proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Delphi, BenefitFocus)
- SHRM-SCP or CEPB certification strongly preferred
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to handle sensitive financial data with strict confidentiality
