Responsibilities
- Administer defined-benefit pension plans for 2,500+ government employees
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS, and Nevada state pension regulations
- Prepare annual actuarial valuations and funding reports
- Manage investment portfolio reporting and risk assessment
- Develop retirement education workshops for employees
- Coordinate with auditors and external financial institutions
- Process retirement applications and benefit distributions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Public Administration (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years pension administration or government finance experience
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(a), and Nevada pension statutes
- Advanced proficiency in pension software (e.g., Milliman, Mercer)
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or similar designation
- Experience with actuarial valuation methodologies
- Excellent analytical and presentation skills
