Responsibilities
- Administer and manage government pension plans ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Process retirement applications and disbursements with weekend shift coverage
- Conduct benefit calculations and provide member education services
- Collaborate with finance and HR teams for seamless pension operations
- Maintain accurate records and generate compliance reports
- Respond to member inquiries with exceptional customer service
- Participate in weekend shift rotations (Saturday/Sunday)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration experience
- Government/public sector background strongly preferred
- Proficiency in pension management software (e.g., Millennium, Empower)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently on weekend shifts
- Familiarity with ERISA and NC retirement laws
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
