Responsibilities
- Administer and optimize municipal pension plans ensuring compliance with ERISA and state regulations
- Conduct complex benefit calculations and retirement eligibility assessments
- Develop comprehensive employee communications regarding retirement options
- Collaborate with finance departments on funding strategies and actuarial reviews
- Implement digital transformation initiatives for pension management systems
- Conduct audits and ensure fiduciary responsibility for public funds
- Prepare regulatory reports for municipal and state oversight bodies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration experience
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or similar designation preferred
- Expertise in ERISA, IRS 401(a) regulations, and Indiana pension statutes
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, HRIS systems, and pension software
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong written communication for policy documentation and employee guidance
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in remote environment
