Responsibilities
- Administer defined benefit pension plans for San Francisco employees
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS, and California pension regulations
- Analyze financial data and prepare actuarial reports
- Manage member contributions, disbursements, and investment records
- Collaborate with external auditors and financial institutions
- Develop educational materials for plan participants
- Process weekly payroll for pension disbursements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Public Administration
- 3+ years of pension plan or government finance experience
- Strong knowledge of ERISA and pension accounting standards
- Proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Millennium)
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or equivalent designation preferred
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Ability to manage confidential financial information
