Responsibilities
- Administer and optimize municipal pension plans according to Florida state regulations
- Conduct financial modeling and actuarial analysis for retirement fund projectionsProcess employee contributions, distributions, and retirement eligibility verifications
- Collaborate with auditors to ensure compliance with ERISA and government standards
- Develop educational materials for employees on pension benefits and retirement planning
- Manage pension fund investments and monitor market performance
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for city officials
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Public Administration required
- 3+ years of pension plan administration experience
- Florida Retirement System (FRS) certification preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and pension management software
- Deep understanding of ERISA, IRS 401(k) regulations, and Florida pension laws
