Responsibilities
- Administer pension fund operations including benefit calculations, disbursements, and record maintenance
- Analyze financial data and market trends to inform investment strategies and risk assessments
- Ensure strict compliance with Texas pension laws, IRS regulations, and fiduciary standards
- Collaborate with auditors and legal teams for regulatory reporting and compliance reviews
- Process retirement applications and provide detailed benefit consultations to employees
- Develop and implement process improvements for pension administration efficiency
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports for executive leadership and oversight committees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in pension administration or financial management
- Deep knowledge of retirement plans, ERISA regulations, and state pension systems
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder interactions
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours with minimal supervision
- Professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, or PRM) preferred
