Responsibilities
- Manage pension fund transactions and member account updates during night shift hours
- Process retirement applications, distributions, and benefit calculations with 99.9% accuracy
- Ensure compliance with Texas state pension regulations and IRS guidelines
- Respond to urgent member inquiries via secure messaging systems during overnight hours
- Generate daily reconciliation reports for next-day audit review
- Collaborate with day-shift team on complex pension cases requiring overnight analysis
- Maintain confidential member records in secure state government databases
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension administration or retirement planning experience
- State government or public sector financial management background preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and pension management software
- FINRA Series 65 or 66 certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Ability to work independently overnight with minimal supervision
- Deep knowledge of ERISA and Texas pension code regulations
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean record for occasional off-site meetings
