Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain pension plan records for municipal employees
- Process retirement benefit applications and disbursements
- Ensure compliance with federal and state pension regulations
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding retirement planning
- Generate monthly and annual pension reports for leadership
- Collaborate with finance team on pension fund investments
- Conduct audits of pension plan documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan or benefits administration experience
- Certified Pension Administrator (CPA) or similar designation preferred
- Advanced knowledge of ERISA and IRS pension regulations
- Proficiency with pension management software (e.g., Oracle, PeopleSoft)
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours
- U.S. citizenship required for government position
