Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans with precision, ensuring compliance with OPM regulations and ERISA guidelines
- Process retirement applications and benefit calculations for weekend-shift federal employees
- Conduct complex pension eligibility reviews and actuarial projections
- Provide remote consultation to retirees regarding pension options and survivor benefits
- Collaborate with HR teams to resolve pension discrepancies and policy interpretations
- Maintain accurate pension records in federal databases with weekend data entry cycles
- Prepare quarterly pension reports for oversight committees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in pension administration, federal benefits, or retirement planning
- Expertise in federal pension regulations (FERS, CSRS, TSP)
- Proficient with benefits software (e.g., HRIS, ADP) and MS Office Suite
- Strong analytical skills for benefit calculations and compliance audits
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts (Sat/Sun 6am-2pm MT)
- Remote work capabilities with secure home office setup
