Responsibilities
- Process retirement applications and benefit calculations with 100% accuracy
- Manage pension plan documentation and compliance with GA state regulations
- Respond to complex member inquiries via phone/email during weekend shifts
- Collaborate with HR departments on retirement eligibility verification
- Conduct plan audits and financial reconciliation tasks
- Update participant records in state retirement databases
- Assist with annual retirement plan open enrollment events
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Public Administration
- 3+ years pension/benefits administration experience
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS regulations, and GA state pension laws
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and retirement information systems
- Exceptional problem-solving skills for complex benefit scenarios
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts
- Professional certification (CEBS, ASPA, or similar) preferred
