Responsibilities
- Process retirement applications and pension calculations with 99% accuracy
- Provide exceptional member support via phone/email for weekend inquiries
- Review and audit pension plan documents for compliance with state/federal regulations
- Generate quarterly reports on plan performance and member demographics
- Collaborate with finance teams on funding strategies and actuarial reviews
- Maintain secure digital records using state-of-the-art document management systems
- Participate in cross-departmental weekend training sessions and policy updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration or benefits experience
- Strong knowledge of ERISA and Virginia retirement regulations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and pension management software
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts (Sat-Sun 7am-3pm)
- Valid Virginia driver's license and clean driving record
