Responsibilities
- Administer pension plan benefits including retirement calculations, survivor benefits, and disability claims
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and ERISA standards
- Process member inquiries via phone/email during weekend shifts (Saturday-Sunday)
- Conduct eligibility verifications and enrollment documentation
- Generate benefit statements and annual reports
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams on policy updates
- Maintain accurate member databases and financial records
- Participate in weekend rotation for critical operations support
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years pension administration or benefits experience
- Proficiency with pension software (e.g., Millennium, PeopleSoft)
- Knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k) regulations, and Tennessee pension laws
- Exceptional communication skills for member interactions
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, QPA) preferred
