Responsibilities
- Manage pension plan portfolios and retirement account adjustments with precision
- Process retirement applications and ensure compliance with state/federal regulations
- Respond to beneficiary inquiries via phone, email, and in-person consultations
- Generate and analyze financial reports for pension fund performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex pension issues
- Conduct periodic audits of pension records and documentation
- Stay current with evolving pension legislation and policy changes
- Train junior staff on pension administration procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension administration or financial services experience
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS regulations, and California pension laws
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and pension management software
- Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex concepts
- Professional certifications (e.g., CEBS, CFA, CPA) preferred
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
