Responsibilities
- Administer pension fund transactions and member accounts with 99.9% accuracy
- Process retirement applications, benefit calculations, and disbursements
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, CalPERS, and IRS regulations
- Respond to member inquiries via phone/email during weekend shifts
- Collaborate with finance teams for quarterly fund reconciliation
- Generate reports on fund performance and member demographics
- Train new specialists on pension administration protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years pension administration or benefits experience
- Proficiency with pension software (e.g., Workday, Oracle HCM)
- CA state government clearance or ability to obtain
- Weekend shift availability (Saturday/Sunday 8am-5pm)
- Knowledge of IRS 401(a), 457(b), and 403(b) plans
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
