Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls using CAD/RMS systems
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units to incidents with precision
- Maintain radio communication with field personnel during critical incidents
- Enter and update case information in law enforcement databases
- Provide crisis intervention and pre-arrival instructions to callers
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major emergencies
- Adhere to NIMS/ICS protocols and departmental procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 95% accuracy
- No felony convictions and clean background check
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong situational judgment and calm demeanor under pressure
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with MS Office Suite
- Pass written exam, polygraph, and psychological evaluation
