Responsibilities
- Process 911 calls with speed and precision, triage emergencies using EMD protocols
- Dispatch police, fire, and medical units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain radio communication with field units during critical incidents
- Enter and update incident data in real-time while adhering to NIMS standards
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques for callers
- Operate multiple communication systems simultaneously during high-pressure scenarios
- Document all interactions with meticulous attention to detail
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Minimum 50 wpm typing proficiency (verified by typing test)
- Clear criminal background check and drug screening
- Ability to pass psychological evaluation and polygraph examination
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
- Experience in customer service or high-stress environments
- Proficiency with computer systems and multi-tasking abilities
- Fluency in English; bilingual Spanish/Cantonese strongly encouraged
