Responsibilities
- Answer and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls using CAD systems
- Dispatch appropriate units (police, fire, EMS) to incidents
- Maintain detailed logs and incident documentation
- Provide clear instructions to callers during emergencies
- Coordinate with multiple agencies during critical incidents
- Operate radio equipment and communication technologies
- Remain calm under pressure while multitasking
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Flexible schedule availability (nights, weekends, holidays)
- Basic computer proficiency and typing skills
- Clear communication abilities (verbal/written)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Valid New Mexico driver's license
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
- No felony convictions
