Responsibilities
- Process 911 calls and non-emergency communications with accuracy and empathy
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units during emergency situations
- Maintain detailed logs of all radio communications and incidents
- Operate computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems and emergency equipment
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide critical information to officers in the field
- Remain calm and composed during high-stress scenarios
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM
- Clear speaking voice with strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask and make quick decisions
- No felony convictions
