Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and EMS units using CAD systems
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Operate radio equipment and multi-agency communication systems
- Provide critical information to officers during active incidents
- Monitor surveillance feeds and alarm systems
- Assist in training new dispatchers upon certification
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Minimum age 18 at time of hire
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
- Pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Typing proficiency of 35+ WPM
- Basic computer literacy with MS Office suite
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Fluency in English (Spanish bilingual preferred)
