Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls using CAD/RMS systems
- Dispatch police, fire, and medical units with precise location and situation details
- Maintain radio communication protocols during critical incidents
- Enter/update incident data in real-time with 100% accuracy
- Operate multiple communication channels simultaneously
- Provide crisis intervention and caller guidance during emergencies
- Adhere to NIMS/ICS protocols during major incidents
- Complete daily shift logs and administrative paperwork
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum 18 years of age at time of hire
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Valid Nevada driver's license with clean record
- Pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Ability to multitask in high-stress environments
- Fluent English proficiency (bilingual Spanish a plus)
- No felony convictions and clean drug history
