Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with professionalism and accuracy
- Operate multi-line telephone systems and radio equipment
- Dispatch police officers and emergency services efficiently
- Maintain detailed logs and records of all communications
- Utilize CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) systems for real-time coordination
- Provide critical information to first responders during crisis situations
- Remain calm under pressure during high-stakes emergency scenarios
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 95% accuracy
- Excellent communication and active listening skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in fast-paced environments
- Valid California driver's license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the U.S.
