Responsibilities
- Process and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls using CAD systems
- Dispatch police officers, fire, and EMS resources with precision
- Maintain accurate radio communication protocols during critical incidents
- Enter and update case data in law enforcement databases
- Provide pre-arrival emergency medical instructions to callers
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major events
- Document all interactions with meticulous attention to detail
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required (college preferred)
- Must pass NCIC criminal background check and drug screening
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 90% accuracy
- Ability to multitask in high-stress environments
- Strong verbal communication and active listening skills
- Proficient with Windows OS and willingness to learn specialized software
- Valid NC driver's license with clean record
- Must be 21+ years old (per NC requirements)
