Responsibilities
- Process 911 calls and prioritize emergency responses using Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems
- Coordinate with police, fire, and EMS units during critical incidents
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and activities
- Utilize radio systems to relay critical information to field personnel
- Provide pre-arrival emergency instructions to callers
- Operate multiple communication channels simultaneously
- Adhere to all federal and state communication protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license
- Pass criminal background check and drug screening
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to speak clearly with neutral American English dialect
- Strong multi-tasking and decision-making abilities
- Experience with computer systems and radio operations preferred
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
