Responsibilities
- Process 911 calls and prioritize emergency responses with accuracy and speed
- Operate computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems and radio communication equipment
- Provide clear, concise instructions to callers during critical incidents
- Coordinate with law enforcement, fire, and medical personnel during emergencies
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Participate in ongoing training for new technologies and emergency protocols
- Support multi-agency operations during large-scale incidents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework preferred)
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to pass background check, polygraph, and psychological evaluation
- Strong multitasking ability under high-pressure situations
- Proficiency in computer systems and radio communication technology
- Exceptional verbal communication and active listening skills
