Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls via 911/311 systems with precision and empathy
- Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) software and radio communication equipment
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to callers
- Participate in continuous training on new protocols and technologies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Valid California Driver's License (Class C)
- Clear criminal background check and fingerprint clearance
- Ability to pass psychological evaluation and polygraph examination
- Fluency in English (bilingual candidates in Spanish/Chinese strongly encouraged)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
